(1) If an establishment has to employ a child, the relevant labor office or any other body or official designated by that office and the approval of the child's father, mother or guardian shall be obtained. However, it is not necessary to take approval according to this section to put it in a work or cultural program organized for the benefit of the child by an educational institution approved by the Government of Nepal or an organization established in accordance with the prevailing law for the protection of the rights and interests of the child.
(2) According to sub-section (1) (7) the fee incurred while obtaining and renewing the certificate of qualification for employing a child shall be borne by the related establishment.
(8) An establishment employing a child who has completed fourteen years of age at the time of commencement of this Act shall be able to obtain a certificate of qualification within thirty days from the date of commencement of this Act.
